I am looking to start a home business doing mailouts for small businesses in my area and am not sure how to get started. If anyone has any ideas or has done something similar I would really apprieciate the advice! Thank you so much for this site. It has already given me hope that I can do this and I am hoping to get some great information.

Hi Angela,

Have you thought about joining your local Chamber of Commerce? That's a great way to get to know local business owners.

My first steps would probably be:

1. Put up a website (http://www.freelancemom.com/getasite.htm)
2. Get business cards made up
3. Start contacting local businesses and sending them this information, especially realtors!
4. Put classifieds in local newspaper
