Hi all!

I've recently started my own business www.virtualassistantsonline.biz so I can work from home and be around for my 6mth old son.

I'm finding that people here in Australia aren't really up on the whole 'virtual' assistant thing, so I'm spending a lot of time on the Internet checking out virtual jobs from mainly US sites! Any suggestions on the best places to find work out there?

Love this site and what it's doing for us stay-at-home, work-from-home Mums!

Hi Rebecca :)

Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on your new baby AND your new business!

Here are some of the best places for finding work that I know of:

Elance.com (http://www.elance.com/c/splash/main/publish.pl?rid=AAGT&f=sellerfunnel1)
HomeJobStop (http://hop.clickbank.net/?dewachen/homejob)
Freelance Work Exchange (http://www.qksrv.net/click-1248313-1143690)

I also have a list of resources worth looking into on the Freelance Gigs (http://www.freelancemom.com/gigs.htm) page.

My husband recently left his career to work from home with me. We sprung for the elance subscription despite the price hoping to pick up a few more clients. We have had surprising success in a short period of time. Back a few years ago - I also had a subscription and it is how I found some of my best long-term clients (and friends).

So - although I think elance's price is too expensive... they do get a TON of action in there.

Let us know how it goes for you. And send a pic of the baby!
