OVERVIEW Inherent, Inc. (http://www.inherent.com/) is a 13 year-old Internet development company that focuses primarily on the legal industry. Our office is located in the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco, but we are willing to consider a full or part-time telecommuting situation. Benefits include medical, dental and prescription coverage as well as a monthly stipend for bridge toll and/or public transportation and to cover your home Internet connection.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a team leader for our Web development and maintenance group. We need an experienced person who possesses a unique blend of technological knowledge and communication skills, and who is able to manage multiple projects while also directing developers. The successful candidate should approach problems creatively and with confidence. Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience meeting project schedules/deadlines are a must in order to succeed in this challenging environment. Responsibilities include working directly with our clients and our production/design team as the project manager for the design and production of traditional, database-driven Web sites and other interactive media projects at the highest level of quality and efficiency. Additionally, the position calls for regular communication with clients whose sites are already in production, and making hands-on edits as needed. Perhaps the most important element of this job is the need for the individual to be proactive when dealing with all clients. Conducting and sharing a formal review of each production client's site at least once a year shows that we do not wait for the client to ask for work to be done. Offering suggestions to both development and maintenance clients allows us to service them in a way our competitors do not. It is of vital importance to ensure that each client feels that the company is their partner in the sense that we will guide them on how to utilize technology to better their own efforts.
This is both an external, client-facing position and an internal management/production position.
