Hi Maryann-

The first thing I noticed was the background image. Please get rid of it as it's very distracting. If you feel that you must keep it then I would suggest only having it as a background to your header - not in the main section of your page.

In general there seems to be a clash of styles. The nav. buttons are more modern, contemporary. It clashes with the background that you have. Are you selling more modern gifts or things more suited to the casual, country buyer?

I do like the navigation look you choose - but I'd change what the buttons represent. I'd get rid of the 'search' option and then create a search box in the right hand side of the screen.

The blue/grey color scheme is nice, but is it the right choice of colors for your site? I would suggest picking a stronger color. It could turn some viewers into buyers. Color is a very powerful tool that can sway people's emotions - sway them towards the cart button!!

One final note - how about a nice little blurb about your company and the products that you sell? First impression is obvious that you sell merchandise - but what merchandise. People need to know within 30 seconds what it is you're selling on your site. Adding a tag line near your logo can help identify your site.

Overall - they layout is great! Not too cluttered and it's easy on the eye. It's good not to overwhelm the viewer.
