Certified Childbirth Educators and Midwives Needed to Support Online Classroom for BabyCenter

Position description:
BabyCenter is launching an online introductory Childbirth Preparation course. As part of the course, participants will be able to ask questions of a childbirth expert in an online classroom. BabyCenter is looking for great certified childbirth educators with a knack for health writing to answer our moms’ questions.

Candidates should be available to work from home on a part-time contractual basis (5-10 hours a week) from late May through early July (which may be extended). They will be paid a competitive hourly rate and will have the opportunity to include a short personal bio on the site.


Qualifications
• A certified childbirth educator -- Lamaze, ICEA, and CAPPA (or other large nationally recognized certifications), a licensed or direct-entry midwife with at least three year of experience; or a certified nurse midwife with at least three years of experience
• Have at least three years of consistent teaching experience and a passion for providing up-to-date, evidence-based, unbiased information in a supportive style
• Demonstrated ability to write in clear, accessible language
• Have current liability insurance
• An advanced related degree is a plus
