Hi Lori,

I was reading one of your threads where you mentioned it would be great to join together to get a reduced insurance plan. Have you thought anymore about that?

I mainly work full time in order to have health insurance because my husband is self-employed. I can't believe insurance premiums are so high.

Glad you joined us and thanks for your compliment on the board. Really it's a great group of people here -- I've rarely ever had to worry about the tone in threads here... You'll be a great edition :) And I know everyone will LOVE your site.

YES Nicole, I think about this insurance problem ALL the time. Thank you for mentioning it and I will definitely tell you if I could ever work something out.

I was told the first step would be to contact the 'Insurance Commissioner'. I don't see why we couldn't get something like this happening Nicole.

Thanks for the compliment of my site. My site just went live this month and from what I can see will always be a work in process.

As for the insurance - maybe if there was an association of self employed moms we could bargain for better insurance rates.
